Neil Dolman is the owner-manager of Bright Lites UK and set up the company after being a freelance lighting designer and engineer for over 16 years. He started his career within amateur dramatics and progressed into working in the professional market.
Whilst working in the numerous theatres in the local area including the Colne Municipal Hall, Burnley Mechanics and Preston Guild Hall Complex as a sound, lighting technician and house rigger, Neil was becoming more and more aware of the need for a “small enough to care, big enough to compete” lighting company in the North West of England. In 2003, Neil opened the doors to Bright Lites UK.
Since then the company has grown and we are currently in our 11th year. As it developed into a busy hire company, the need to move became evermore apparent. So in 2009, Neil moved Bright Lites UK to a brand new warehouse in Burnley. The warehouse is now close to the motorway network, which eases the process of hires in and out and also to keep the high standard of Prep to the equipment.
